White Christmas
Hi, hope you're having a great weekend...and keeping warm! Jean Okimoto here - with a frosty winter card today.
- Snowfall G1999
- Small Forest Pine D2011
- Wonderful Time Combo B2013 (there's a bonus Christmas tree attached to the side of the stamp)
- Kaleidacolor Blue Breeze Inkpad
- Memento Luxe Wedding Dress Pigment Inkpad
- Radiant Neon Electric Purple Inkpad
Spritz some watercolor paper with water. Ink a 4" soft rubber brayer with Blue Breeze and spritz it with water. Roll the diluted inks onto the damp watercolor paper. Repeat the process on another piece of watercolor paper - use it for layering and to stamp the greeting.
Dry the inks, then stamp Snowfall and Small Forest Pine with Wedding Dress. Emboss it with detail white powder. Stamp Wonderful Time Combo with Electric Purple and emboss it with detail clear powder. Attach everything to an A6 card and add some opaque and iridescent sequins.
Please visit our Ideas Gallery for additional details and supply lists.
Special thanks to everyone who took my Merry + Quick and Asian Holiday Designs classes at Impress last weekend! Hope you liked the cards and techniques - and were inspired to create all of your holiday greetings this year.
Have you seen the beautiful products over at Birch Press and Home, Dave and Monica's new online shop? They feature a wonderful selection of handcrafted pieces for dining, decorating and entertaining - and colorful contemporary greeting cards, journals and calendars. Great for gift-giving - or something special for yourself. Here's one of my favorites - the Medium Cream Stitched Cakeplate - isn't it lovely?
