Woodland Tree Silhouettes
Welcome to Day One of the Blog Blitz featuring the newest Winter 2014 Memory Box Collection! This afternoon I am featuring the Woodland Tree Silhouette Die No. 98969 on several cards.
Materials Used:
- Woodland Tree Silhouette die No. 98969
- Frosted Vine Border die No. 98993
- Merry Chrsitmas stamp B2019
- white cardstock
- Russian Sage notecard
- from Imagine Crafts--Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink, White embossing powder
- small circle punch (for the moon)
Stamping and embossing the sentiment really makes it pop against the dimensional die cuts.
For this card, I used the same basic materials but changed the stamp, using the Vintage Christmas Words G1797, stamped in the Wedding Dress ink and embossed with the White Imagine Crafts embossing powder.
Then I started thinking about how this might make a good fall/Halloween tree so I went through my stamps to find one that would coordinate. Voila! Web and Willows F1799! For this first card I inked up the stamp using my Memento pens Tuxedo Black, New Sprout, and Bamboo Leaves and a Sage notecard. I added just a bit of the Imagine Crafts Clear embossing powder on the web and a few of the leaves. I die cut the Woodland Tree Silhouette from Dill cardstock and punched the moon from a scrap of the Squash Distressed Dots paper.
On this White notecard, I used the Woodland Tree Silhouette die cut from Vanilla Bean Moroccan paper with a Mango Gingham moon.
This last card features a silver moon made by smooshing Delicata Shilvery Shimmer ink onto a scrap of white cardstock before embossing it with Imagine Crafts Silver embossing powder and punching out the circle. The Woodland Tree Silhouette in Black cardstock makes the perfect shadowy tree on a Dove gray notecard.
I'm sure you'll be intrigued and inspired by what everyone comes up with this week. Don't forget to leave comments on the designer posts this week for a chance to win prizes. What a fab idea to put a moon. That sets this off so nicely! and to use the snowflakes across the bottom...superb!
