Take three with retro ornaments; soft and pretty

IMG_1029

If you haven't noticed, I often work in threes. I like to take a stamp or die and try to do at least three different things with it. Sorta justifies the purchase. I remember Jennifer Maguire when asked how she picks a stamp, she responded by saying if she couldn't think of at least five things to do with it she wouldn't get it.

See here and here for the previous postings.

Today is the third installment of the hanging ornament die. I used a tried and true technique that I introduced last winter. See here for the tutorial.

Once the die was embossed, I carefully colored it with copic makers and added my sentiment. I was so tempted to add glitter, but I held back remembering the old adage that"less is more".

I think this created such a soft and pretty card for the holidays.

Hope you enjoyed the hanging ornament series, stay tune for a new series coming up!
