Joyful Snowflake Sprig

'Morning Crafty Friends!

Hope you've had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend too.

Today my card-share is what I call the "Joyful Snowflake Sprig". It's a combination of a stenciled background, beautiful Memory Box die cuts and an embossed sentiment.

For the background I selected the Chic Chevron Stencil and inked it onto black card stock with Tsukineko's beautiful Delicata pigment ink in Silvery Shimmer from Imagine Crafts. The Delicata metallic ink will not tarnish and dries in minutes.  It's easy to apply to the stencil with their Jumbo Dauber and look at the sharp and crisp inked lines. No seeping or smudging.

I die cut the Snowflake Sprig twice, using just the upper portion of the second sprig to add fullness and extend the arch. Both sprigs were cut from white cardstock, while the snowflakes were left white, the remainder was colored using various green markers.

I had some beautiful red velvet paper in my stash and made use of it on the Poinsettia Bloom Trio.  This was one of those times I was happy that I saved my small scraps! I added a little yellow colored pencil on the centers of the white bloom and some gold domes for the pollen.  FYI, in case you want to know these things, here are 10 interesting facts about poinsettias: http://urbanext.illinois.edu/poinsettia/facts.cfm

Now, just add the Joyful sentiment stamped in Brilliance Moonlight White, heat embossed in white then some pearls and gemstones--Ta Da!  Easy and a little elegant at the same time.

I won't give you the countdown to Christmas---letting others do that task, but let's just say, it's not too early to start those cards ladies and gentlemen.  Hope you get in some crafting time this weekend!

Happy Friday!

Very attractive card, Jenny. Love the chevron stencil combined with the dies!
