So Very Merry
Hi – hope it’s a great weekend for you! Jean Okimoto here today – with a contemporary holiday design to share.
We usually see a big Christmas tree and a smallish greeting, right? Combine a small tree and a big greeting for a change. The triangles are all perfectly straight - so angle the 'merry' for a cheery, upbeat look. Just a few of the little details I obsess over when I design something (smile).
- 98994 Merry Cursive Die
- E1994 Small Triangle Tree
- Granny Smith Cardstock
- White Notecard
- Granny Smith Envelope
- Kaleidacolor Caribbean Sea
- VersaMark
- Ink Potion no. 9
- Fireworks! Pear Tart Spritzer
- Imagine Crafts Craft Mat
I love stamping over watercolored backgrounds – like this one – then embossing over it. The new Small Triangle Tree is a great look for clean and simple designs. Scribble the watercolor pencils over the tree, then blend and spread the colors with Ink Potion no. 9, an ink blending solution. Paint some Fireworks! Pear Tart over it for a warm, shimmery glow.
Add the Merry Cursive diecut, some sequins…and that’s it!
Please visit our Ideas Gallery for detailed directions for this card - and many more.
Thanks for stopping by today...
I like the color choices for so very merry.

Thanks Jenny - it's such a cool stamp, perfect for the stamping engineer! We'll be using it in next quarter's classes too.
