A Birdie Christmas Border
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas after the heavy rains last night! Jean Okimoto here, with another holiday card this afternoon. The lights have been flickering – so let’s get started before anything happens…
- NEW Script Merry Designer Stencil 88575
- NEW Frosted Spruce Tree Die 99005
- Resting Birds Die 98527
- Hearts and Stars Die 98755
- Parchment Cardstock
- Parchment Envelope
Dry-emboss Script Merry on Parchment Cardstock and trim it to 3-3/4” x 3-5/8”.
Cut Frosted Spruce Tree from Lime Fizz Silk Cardstock. Leave the cardstock in the die and dry-emboss it for extra dimension.
Cut the star from gold mirror cardstock. Attach adhesive label paper to red felt and diecut Resting Birds and a 1” x 3-5/8” strip. The paper backing stabilizes the felt and prevents any liquid adhesives from seeping through.
Attach everything to a side-folded A-2 card – and coordinate it with a matching Parchment Envelope.
I love simple designs like this. Let the textures and combination of dry-embossing, mirror cardstock, felt and silk cardstock do the work for you!
Impress is having their annual Holiday Kick-Off on Saturday August 16th. There'll be goodie bags for the first 25 customers at both stores, make and takes and a special 10% off everything discount that day. Be there!
Scroll down for a quick holiday card featuring the new Merry Background - a very popular stamp this year!
Thanks for stopping by again – have a great evening.

Thank you - wish you could see the real thing - embossing the silk cardstock creates a very shimmery tree!
