Merry Chalkboard
I hope you've been enjoying seeing all of the awesome new stamps! It's my turn (Shelby) to show you one of the brand spankin new stamps...so many stamps, so little time. But I'm sure I'll be able to get them inky:) Today is the last day of the stamp blitz, so be sure to leave a comments on today's and all the posts in the last week to increase your chances of winning one of the stamps.
This card is similar to one we made yesterday in our Christmas in July Memory Box class at Simple Pleasures.
This stamp is called Merry Background G1998. I stamped with VersaMark (perfect pearl works well too) and then used a large soft paintbrush to dust with Darcie's Chalkfx. The chalk dust clings to the VersaMark and creates the perfect looking chalkboard. I sealed the chalk with some of daughter's hairspray (I wasn't going to use my expensive good stuff!). The gorgeous die cut in white cardstock is Grape Vine 99002. I love the details on the leaves this die creates; very subtle and gorgeous.
Don't forget to leave a comment on today's post for a chance to win the new stamp Merry Background!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful.
Best card ever!

This card really steps out of the box. I think people would really take notice and read the message--not just setting it aside. Good job.

Love all the card posts. The best thing is all the inspiration. The worst thing is seeing all the great inspiration and wanting the great dies/papers/stamps/papers/inks used in the projects.
