Merry and Bright Holidays
Hi – hope you’re enjoying our Holiday Collection Stamps Blog Blitz this week! Jean Okimoto here today, with a bright, contemporary card for you.
I love the great typestyles that Dave has chosen for the new Merry Background stamp. The stamp is perfectly proportioned for an A-2 card – or you can cut it into smaller pieces for tags and greetings inside the card.
- NEW Merry Background Stamp G1998
- NEW Merry and Bright Combo Stamp B2005 (there’s a star attached to the side)
- Holly Berry Cardstock
- Key Lime Notecard and Envelope
- VersaFine Onyx Black
- Memento Luxe Pear Tart, Pistachio, Espresso Truffle and Love Letter
- Brilliance PearlescentThyme
Stamp the background on white cardstock with Onyx Black and emboss it with detail black powder. Daub Pear Tart, Pistachio, Pearlescent Thyme and Love Letter onto the words. Heat-set the inks.
Stamp the greeting on Holly Berry Cardstock with Espresso Truffle and emboss it with detail clear powder.
Diecut the trees from watercolor paper – attach three of them with foam dots. Attach everything to a Key Lime Notecard. Add some pale gold sequins. Coordinate the card with a Key Lime Envelope.
Big Thanks to everyone who took last weekend’s Summer in Seattle class at Impress! Hope you liked the techniques and new products featured in class that day.
Want a chance to win the Merry Background stamp? Just enter a comment here – the entry deadline is 11:59 PM EST on July 20th. The winner will be announced on July 21st.
Thanks for visiting…

Obviously the odd person out here, but I hate the idea of Christmas in July (or anytime before November)! Look forward to looking at the stamps in October/November when the Christmas season is around the corner!
