Fri 01

eek!

 'Morning Crafty Friends!

Any plans for the upcoming weekend?  I've planned an afternoon making Halloween cards and have been working with the new dies, stamps and stencils...here's one I have to share with you today.

Eeek

The front cover of this card is narrowed by 1 1/2" to give you a little peek of the inside spider web. The cave bat die cut is cleverly designed to depict both the "positive" and "negative" of each bat--look closely (click on the photo to show a larger view). So I adhered some key lime distressed dot paper behind it to show off that great feature.

The Happy Halloween sentiment is mounted on orange layering paper and actually extends beyond the edge of the cover on the right side.

Here is the card partially open---LOVE this Texture Distress Web stencil!  I used black pigment ink applied with a sponge applicator and the detail is amazing.  I found that using pigment ink worked best--fewer splotches and a smooth application.

 Now for the full-reveal.....

I really like the Little Mice dies---not fond of the real critters but these die cut ones are just so cute!!

I added a tiny piece of mounting tape beneath their heads to elevate and a bitty purple gemstone on their noses.  The "eek!" is spelled out with the Classic Lower Alphabet die set--so easy!

Having a great time making Memory Box cards at Craft Fancy

These fun girls are Marnie and Diane---they know their stuff!  Marnie is a fellow Memory Box Design Team member.  She and Diane know all the best places in town and gave me a mini-tour--thanks girls!
