Midas Touch

Sometimes you have to go back to your roots to make a CAS card. Do you remember when you first learned to emboss? Remember the magic? The moment when the powder heated and raised?  It was amazing! It is what sucked many of us in to stamping.

Today's card is back to basics with gold embossing. I sponged the pattern lanthenay stencil with a versmark pad on my base card. I then heat embossed it in gold. I foam mounted the sentiment pice that I cut using the solid arch background die. Only I didn't cut it all the way through. I only cut it enough to create the curve panel that is so trendy these days.

This makes a great wedding or anniversary card.

Thanks for taking a look today.

Beautiful CAS anniversary card!

I know what you mean about embossing. I always describe it as a magic trick. Love the card.

Simple elegance, just like the little black dress, you can never go wrong with that. Was the sentiment a curved stamp?

Blue Rose- darn it, I knew I should have added that note. It is actually a wood stamp that I took off the block and forced it into a curve on an acrylic block. I gotta admit it was tricky. It kept wanting to go back to its original shape- straight as my hair!! I had to work fast once I got it in position. I hope I didn't scare you off!!!

Sue, this card is gorgeous! I hope you don't mind if I pin it so I can copy the idea down the track.

Francine- pin, pin, pin away!
