Wildflower and Butterflies

Happy Memorial Day weekend to everyone, and I hope you're able to find time to activities you love!  It's my turn (Shelby) to provide a little inspiration for you.

I've combined a few Memory Box products today.  I've used the Chickenwire stencil (88534) and watercolor paints to create the background.  I cut out the Rhone Butterfly Wings (98869) twice...one I left the die cut pieces in and the other I removed them to create two different looking butterflies.  The corner die is the gorgeous Wildflower Corner (98895).  The flatback gems were found hidden deep in my hoard:)!

To add a little dimension to the Wildflower corner, I filled the open petal space with some glossy accents which I'm not sure if you can see from the pictures.

I hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful and Happy Memorial Day.

Beautiful card! Love how you kept the pieces in one butterfly and took them out of the other.

Impressive...crazy about that background. Gorgeous.

Beautiful card Shelby! I was just wondering how you keep the pieces from falling out of the butterfly - there's always one or two that fall out when I die cut without me even trying to get them out!

Gorgeous card, love the butterflies, but like Francine...how did you keep the pieces in place?

You did a fantastic job with this. I LOVE the colors and layout, especially the way you did the two butterflies. TFS.

I used heavy watercolor paper and took out the shims I use when doing delicate cuts. There is also a weaker spot on my plates where I know the delicate pieces of the die won't cut all the way through.

very pretty texture and love the butterfly trail :)

Gorgeous card. Love the color combination!!

Beautiful card! Love the color palette and the butterfly is stunning! TFS!

The background looks like it has some texture
Paste on it..beautiful card! Love it!
