Cards for Winter Solstice
As I write this, it is snowing outside. Winter is definitely on its way.
This year a group of my friends and I are celebrating the Winter Solstice with a ritual and a pot luck meal. I decided to make some clean and simple cards for this event using Memory Box stamps, Archival Olive ink, and either handwritten or computer-printed sentiments.
- Memory Box white notecard
- Renaissance Tile G1404 (I like to mix some of my older stamps with the newer ones. This one is no longer in the catalog. Any snowy border stamp or die cut would work instead if you don't have this stamp in your own archives.)
- Woodland Christmas Tree G1898
- the sentiment inside: ...when magic reinvents itself
- Memory Box notecard
- Renaissance Tile G1404 stamped directly onto the card
- Neenah white cardstock
- Snowy Pine Landscape F1900
- scrap of dill notecard to back the sentiment
- Memory Box white notecard
- Neenah White cardstock
- Snowy Pine Landscape F1900
- scrap of dill notecard to back the Snowy Pine Landscape
- scrap of black cardstock to back the sentiment
This last card is a little more involved with multiple layers in shades of black and white.
- Memory Box white notecard
- Memory Box Licorice Distressed Dots paper
- Neenah White cardstock
- Distressed Jingle Bells G1827 stamped in Hero Arts mid-tone Wet Cement Shadow Ink
- Virtuoso Music Die number 98356 cut from black sticky-back paper
Happy Crafting!
