Urban Halloween
The Cityscapes Nightline Die is great for a backlit Halloween scene - and a few Perfect Pumpkins add the finishing touch. Just punch a few holes, place them against the black highrises, and they'll have faces too.
Hi - Jean Okimoto here - with a fall party favor - or cool little gift for someone who doesn't like candy. IF you know anyone who doesn't like candy! The night scene looks big here - but it's actually just a 2.5" tall battery-operated votive
Stamp Harvest Moon G1804 on white vellum with ColorBox Limited Edition Red Barn Chalk Ink and gently heat-set it. Tear the top edge, then trim the vellum to 2.5" tall and the circumference of your votive plus a .5" overlap.
Diecut Cityscape Nightline 98398 from text weight black paper and attach it to the vellum. Diecut Perfect Pumpkins 98707 from Mango Cardstock and punch holes for the eyes and mouths. Attach the pumpkins to the cityscape.
Diecut A Bunch of Bats 98708 from black paper and attach them to a 1" circle of white paper. Attach everything to the vellum with dots of adhesive just where the wings extend over the edge of the 1" circle. This prevents the dreaded 'adhesive-show-through' on the white circle when the votive is lit.
Attach the vellum to the votive with double-stick tape at the overlapping edges. If you're keeping the votive, you'll be able to remove the vellum later and use the votive for another holiday.

On a totally different subject...BIG THANKS to all who took the Christmas with Poppystamps class at the Tukwila Impress on Sunday. You worked so quickly we were able to create 6 cards and end 30 minutes early. Hope you liked the special giftbag and enjoy using the products from Dave and Monica!
I've added another Christmas with Poppystamps class - it'll be on Saturday November 2nd at the Tukwila Impress. It's a morning class - and I'll post the time as soon as it's confirmed. More great gifts!
Thanks for visiting!
super, super cute and creative Jean!
