Christmas in the City

Good afternoon, Stampin' Sistahs!

Do you remember what it looks like when you peer out the window on a cold, foggy, snowy day at about twilight? I decided to try to evoke that memory in my card today with the help of Ranger Distress inks, foam applicator tools and a paintbrush.

Card features Memory Box stamps Christmas In the City and Birds on a Lamp Post.

I did a little masking to make a snow bank in the background, but I'm wondering if the card base should be a patterned paper - something with red, maybe? Or just a plain dark red cardstock? What do you think?

Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!

You nailed the look you were going for! I love it - makes me wish for snow....

Beautiful! Love the way you colored this image. Looks like the light's on! I agree with your thought of adding some red.

Love this card! and I like the idea of adding in red paper. What if the birdseed ran off the main rectangle to the background a little? Just a thought.

It's great as is. Your central panel is awesome. If you want to go for variety, I wouldn't mind seeing an tiny embossed layer of white behind the central panel.

The fog dances in.....I think your choice of background adds to the foggy-eve look.

How about a bare tree branch shadow image in the background, maybe watermarked. Or watermarked snowflakes

I think that is one of the most beautiful cards, remember the old adage, less is more, well you have done that perfectly.

You pretty much described almost every winter day here in Syracuse! Your card is beautiful and I don't even have to shovel!

Thank you all so much for your kind and generous comments!!!
