Snowflake Mitten

Here's a quick and simple card for the holidays featuring two of the newest dies from the Merry & Bright collection:  Toasty Mitten 98664 and Precious Snowflakes 98729.

Mitten

MAERIALS USED:

  • Currant notecard
  • Currant Dots paper
  • Neenah White cardstock
  • adhesive-backed cardstock in white and red
  • pearls in several sizes
  • Pure Red ZIG Calligraphy pen for the stitching lines on the mitten

Using adhesive-backed cardstock simplified the gluing process for the snowflakes, though I've found that just a glue dot in the center of each bow and each snowflake is enough to hold them in place.  I added a blank white rectangle for stamping a sentiment, name, initial, or image later.  I think that the BOLD JOY stamp F1936 inked in the right red would be perfect for this card--need to buy that stamp at my local stamp store!  I also added a red Toasty Mitten "stitched" with a Uniball Signo White pen and a small white Perfect Snowflake to the inside of the card.

Mitten 2
Finish with some stamped snowflakes (I used Sprinkles B1158) in red ink on the white envelope.  This is another card that would be easy to do in multiples.

Happy Crafting!
