Wishing for Washi?

P1100568
Hi - hope it's a great weekend for you.  Jean Okimoto here - with a washi-tape-inspired design featuring two new stamps - Washi Tape Stripes D1931 and Washi Tape Dots D1978.  The 2013 Holiday Collection also includes the Washi Tape Solid Stamp D1942 to create custom-colored backgrounds for your tapes.

P1100597

They're simply stamped with ColorBox Orange, Cupid and Cranberry Pigment Inks, embossed and cut into strips.  Diecut it with Addison Ornament Background.  Add the ornament cap from the Addison Ornament Outline and a bow from Crisp Bows.

Stamp a quick greeting - May Your Wishes Come True - and emboss it.  Add a few punched circles and attach everything to a square card of Raspberry Cardstock.

If you're in the Seattle area this afternoon - be sure to stop by Impress and wish them a Happy 26th Birthday!  Enjoy today's 26% discount while you're there too - it's a great time to fulfill your wishlist of Memory Box and Poppystamps products.

Keep checking back for more holiday ideas - lots more in store for you!

Mistletoe Wishes

This little penguin is all bundled up and hoping for a little kiss under the mistletoe.  He looks like he is waiting patiently and hopefully.  Maybe if he waits there long enough...

Bundled Penguin was my first selection from the new Merry & Bright Collection and I plan to use him a lot!

Mistletoewishes

I stamped the Mistletoe Bundle (C1952) on a scrap of paper, detail cut it out and positioned it on top of the compass on the Wish Collage (G1941).  That way it could appear above the Bundled Penguin (C1937) and look like he's aligned himself in perfect position for that holiday kiss.  He's irresistible, I'd kiss the little guy!

Two bushy Frosted Christmas Trees (#98668), one stamped with the Wish Collage, the other plain, are staggered in layers nearby.  The background patterned paper is Poinsettia Fields (#10106)--it's color scheme and small designs are just what I needed for this traditional home-style card.

Make a few Holiday cards to beat the heat and be ready by December.

Happy Friday!

Merry Christmas card

Hello all! It's Olga again with another Christmas card. The new dies are so beautiful that I can't stop using them. For this card I also used wonderful paper with very winter print - red berries and green leaves on the blue and white background.

IMG_2308
I used glitter but not sure it's vivid on the photos.

IMG_2310

I used small pearls here - they look like the berries on the paper.

I rtied different colors for the phrase and liked white most of all.

Secret Potions

P1100493

Congrats to the winner of our Holiday Blitz!  Hope everyone enjoyed the cards and projects as much as we loved sharing them with you!  Jean Okimoto here, with another fall card:

P1100518

The Distressed Dots and Moroccan Signature Prints seemed like the perfect bubbly, fizzy backgrounds for the new Bubbling Potions C1972 stamp. Or stamp it on a light background and watercolor or paint it with Smooch Accent Inks.

Village House 98594, with its door propped open a bit, was a good location for brewing the secret concoctions.  A Bunch of Bats 98708 hovers overhead.

Merry Christmas Deer!

Hello all,

Here is another card using two of the new dies and one of the new stamps from Memory Box. I love combining them with unusual paper to get fun results. The base card is done using a embossed shimmery white cardstock that makes it look like the deer have snow swirling behind them! I hope you like this simple and peaceful Christmas card.

I will be teaching this card along with several others on Saturday August 10 and again on Wednesday August 21st at The Stamp Addict in San Diego. So come take the class if you are in the area.

Pinecone Wishes

This card features the Memory Box die 98685 Pinecone Corner from the Merry & Bright release.  I've combined it with two of my favorite stamps from that same collection--The Wish Collage G1941/CS1941G and the Deer Family D1962/CS1962D.

Pine cone wish
How-to:

  • Stamp the Wish Collage on white cardstock.  I used Archival Olive ink.
  • Stamp the Deer Family on top of the Wish Collage image.  I used Hero Arts Cup O' Joe ink.
  • Cut out and mount on brown cardstock.  Secure to the front of the Dill notecard.
  • Die cut the Pinecone Corner twice, once from the same brown cardstock and once in a green.
  • Trim off the brown pine cones and add them on top of the green ones.
  • I used a few strategically placed glue dots to anchor the Pinecone Corner to the card front.

If you are one of us who makes multiples of a card for the holidays, this one goes together fairly quickly in assembly line style.  You could also vary the ink colors for the Wish Collage, the shades of green and brown cardstocks, and the notecard colors for different looks.  Or try this card in a landscape orientation.  So many possibilities!

Happy Crafting!

Winners!

Dixie
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for stopping by during the Blog Blitz to see the latest products from Memory Box. We have so much more to show you, so I hope you will continue to visit us.

The picture I am posting today was made by  Dixie Cochran, who won this stamp during our last blog blitz.  She was kind enough to send me a picture of what she created with her prize.  It features the Happy Birthday Background (G1921) and is so bright and cheerful.  Thanks, Dixie for sharing!

And now.....the winners of the latest Blog Blitz.  We had 25 posts during the two weeks, which means 25 winners.   Congratulations everyone!  I hope you enjoy your prizes, and I will be emailing you shortly to get your information. Once again, thank you guys for all your wonderful comments.  We really appreciate it.

Holly Holiday...

Merry Christmas and to all a good night! Here we are at the end of the Merry and Bright Blog Blitz.

It's been so fun to introduce this new collection from Memory Box! Thanks for joining in and commenting to win.  Laura will announce the winners in tomorrow's post.

My card today uses the NEW Holly Holiday Frame die set, Peace Script die, Holiday Hats dies, Mini Holly Leaves die, Deers in the Field stamp and "to all a good night" stamp

Memory Box Kraft, Cranberry and Dill note cards and card-stock...a couple red gems and it was done.  This is an A-6 size card.

I love the beautiful embossing on this NEW Holly Holiday Frame die... I used a dauber to add gold Delicata ink to the embossing while the die cut was still in the die. (it's hard to see, sorry about that...click to enlarge might help)
