It's quick and easy and the new Merry Christmas Flourish B1953 stamp is festive and fun, stamped with the new ColorBox Geranium Archival Dye Inkpad.  Grasshopper Archvial Dye Ink adds a nice edge to the Key Lime Gingham greeting strip.

Night Before Christmas

P1100796
Hi - Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!  Jean Okimoto here, with a simple card featuring more great products from the 2013 Holiday Collection.

P1100802

The delicate Elyse Christmas Tree 98667 is layered over the Winterland Tree Background 98733.  Presents of Joy D1951 is stamped on the background and onto Cranberry Distressed Dots, Key Lime Gingham and Cranberry Dots.  The patterned gifts are simply cut and attached to the background - quick and easy!

Diecut and emboss A Batch of Gingerbread 98652 in one quick step - and attach them for shiny accents. You'll love their detailed little faces, buttons and bowties.

Big thanks to everyone who took the DIE DESIGNS - AND MORE class at Impress last Wednesday.  It's great meeting new Memory Box fans.  I appreciate it when someone drives 3-1/2 hours from the Oregon Coast for a class - or takes time from a family trip from Puerto Rico to make cards with us.  I love designing for Memory Box and sharing ideas with people everywhere.

Please call Impress - 206 901.9101 - if you can join us!

A Christmas Scrapbook page...

When I received the new Christmas dies from Memory Box a few weeks ago, I knew they would work great for scrapbooking as well as cards.  I put together a quick scrapbook layout using a few of the dies that scale well to a 12x12 page.

I cut the Grand Merry Christmas die out of a beautiful velvet paper to serve as the title for my page.  I used the same velvet paper to cut the Gwenyth Fourish. The new Holiday Goodie border is cut from mirror paper.  I ran it along the edge of my photo mat.  The gingerbread boys on the border have so much detail!

I cut the Holiday Goodie Border out of the mirror paper a few times.  I cut up the extra pieces and used bits and pieces around the layout.  That's where the 3 gifts that are under the tree came from.  The solid stars are the negatives from the border.

A little more detail...

The Gwenyth Flourish is so pretty.  It cuts and embosses.

Tree of Lights Card

MB Tiny tree
Hi Everyone!

Today I have a simple card that would be very easy to reproduce if you needed numerous Christmas Cards. I love this stamp! It is the "Tree of Lights" stamp # D1948. I can see me using this stamp in many ways. I love it's simplicity. I also used stamp #B1943, "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas".  This is one of the cards I will be using in my July Christmas Card Class.

I hope you all have a great day!

Spooky Brew

I really love creating Halloween cards.  Brings me back to my childhood and trick or treating.  My mom handmade ALL of our costumes.  She even created her own patterns and then sewed all the costumes.  My favorite?  One year, my little sister and I went as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf!!!    I miss those days and the simple pleasures we enjoyed.

I think the Bubbling Potions stamp (C1972) is just adorable. And the Something Brewing stamp (B1971) is the perfect sentiment to go with the potions.

Spooky Brew

I inked up the Bubbling Potions stamp with Black Memento ink and stamped onto Parchment card stock and trimmed this piece into a flag.  I colored the potions with Copic Markers.   I found this little jar in my embellishment stash and printed off a "potion label"; sanded it a little bit and added some Tea Dye distress ink to make it look worn.

I added a bit of Glossy Accents to the stamped image just to give it a little more dimension.

Just a fun and easy card.....

See you soon!

Linda

Happy Haunting

IMG_9911
I absolutely LOVE making Halloween cards, and one of my favorite classes to teach is my 10 in 10 Memory Box Halloween card class.  We make ten quick and easy Halloween cards using the latest stamps and dies from Memory Box.

Today I am showing you two of the cards from the class.  In the first one, I used the Grand Willow Tree (98695) and paired it with the older Graveyard Landscape die (98375).  I cut both items out of Graphite cardstock and then layered it on top of a light yellow circle that works as a full moon.

IMG_9916
For my second card, I used my new favorite Halloween die, which is the Happy Halloween Border (98698).  The reason I like it so much is that it adds a "wow" factor without a lot of work.  All I did was place my border on the bottom of a piece of Dove Grey cardstock.  When I ran it through the die cut machine, it cut out the saying at the bottom of the paper without detaching the letters from the paper.  You don't have to spell out "Happy Halloween" or space the letters yourself.  Nice!  To finish the card, I added the Delicate Web (98706) and and a single spider from the Scary Spiders die set (98704).

If you are in the DC area, I would love it if you would join me at Angela's Happy Stamper on Sunday, August 11th for the class.

Happy Haunting!

A little non-traditional on the colors here but I love kraft with cranberry and white...throw in the Memory Box color Pool and it's a winter wonderland!

I used the NEW Sussex Globe and Precious Mittens dies... the NEW Walking in a Winter Wonderland stamp.  The card is 5 1/2 inches square.
