Classic Staircase Vignettes
Another day and more blog blitz posts! I hope you are enjoying this as much as I am! Be sure to go back and read through the previous posts...and leave comments. Prizes will be awarded for each post from all its comments received once the blitz finishes.
These cards feature the Classic Staircase die 98665. I created little rooms using Memory Box papers as wallpaper and decorated them using Memory Box and PoppyStamps dies. Each room looks sooo different by just changing the color scheme.
DIES USED from Memory Box:
- Classic Staircase 98665
- Flying Birds 98655 (Outside the window and/or as the pottery bird on the table)
- Grand Oak Tree 98462 (bits and pieces as the tree seen through the window)
DIES USED from PoppyStamps:
- window from 883 Madison House Set
- 897 Aston Side Table
- 891 Small Verano Lamp
- 859 Walking Cat
- 860 Sitting Cat
I spent quite awhile and made a few mistakes trying to find the right dies to use to decorate the room for Christmas. Here's what finally works. To decorate the stair railing, I first cut apart the Night Sky Border 98682 and placed the stars hanging from the stair railing. Then I die cut the PoppyStamps die 824 BreezyWreath twice. One cut on each wreath and I had the perfect layered garland for draping down the stair railing. I added a bow snipped from Memory Box die 98729 Precious Snowflakes. A few gems or pearls finished each one.

When placing the Classic Staircase die on your paper for cutting, line it up so that you will have a nice solid base for the stairs. By changing up the dies and stamps you use, you'll be surprised how many different ways you can use this staircase. Add a Baby Carriage C1752 in pink or blue to welcome a new baby and tie Balloon Bundles B1740 to the staircase. Add spider webs, ghosts, bats, and pumpkins for a Halloween card. Try using a garland of flowers on the stair railing--PoppyStamps 820 Wildflower Patch would work tucked into the 824 Breezy Wreath garland you create. Have fun with this great die!
Be sure to leave me a comment for your chance to win the Classic Staircase die!
Happy Crafting!
