Hello everyone,
Welcome to day four of our blog blitz using only stamps. I have to admit I did have a hard time getting started making a card using only stamps. The beautiful dies have really made things so easy for so long now... I took the opportunity to dust off some techniques I haven't used in a while.
I used Faber-Castell Gelatos with the Luminous Poppies Stamp (#G1911) to create a water color effect.
The Gelatos are really fun to work with. They have the consistency of lipstick and are water based. I used a mini-mister to lightly wet the stamp. I then colored the stamp directly with the Gelatos and stamped onto smooth card stock. I repeated this several times on the card leaving room for the greeting. The greeting is also a new stamp (#B1913). It has a cute butterfly on the side. 2 stamps in one. I added a strip of washi tape and some baker's twine and mounted it on a Meadow card.
Don't forget to leave a comment. They are giving away new stamps all this week. The winner's will be chosen from the comments.
Thanks for stopping by.
-Mary

Absolutely gorgeous and artistic! I haven't tried Gelatos yet but after seeing this lovely card, I won't need more persuasion to give them a try.

This stamp is going to be a MUST HAVE in my creative cache! LOVE the watercolor effect you've done with gelatos ... I have some that have never seen the light of day as I was unsure how to use them. I am now going to bring them out and see if I can get the same stunning results as you have. Thanks so much for sharing!!
