Hello Dear Stamper Friends:
I am so excited to Welcome you to the new Release Spring Collection 2013 of Memory Box... and to our Blitz Week/ Challenge "use ONLY stamps"...
Make sure that you scroll down to see Anne's post from early this morning...as well!
Today, I am bringing to you this card in acetate...using as a focal point these beautiful "Poppies".
I used NEW and old stamps from Memory Box...I am so happy that now, we, stampers have the option of cling...which come in the new Spring Collection: the Poppy is called "Luminous Poppies". The sentiment is so perfect for the occasion: "April showers BRING MAY FLOWERS" and it comes with a tiny flower stamp (that I did not use) on the side for the wood mount and separate for the cling...so you end up with 2 stamps for the price of one..nice Huh?
You can see on the photo the tiny stamp on the side of the wood stamp...
NOTE: When stamping on acetate is important that you use "Stazon" ink and try to lift upwards your stamp without moving it, the surface is very slippery. My stamping was not perfect but I liked the look of "imperfection"...this tells you that it was "Handmade".
I embellished the front with some rhinestones that I glued with "Glossy Accents", my first choice of adhesive when using acetate and embellishments...and the "Vintage Scroll" stamp is a must have stamp ...I used it quite often in my cards for accents and backgrounds...
I heat emboss the "Luminous Poppies" with white embossing powder on the inside, for a "shadow effect", on this lovely "Distressed Dots Pool" patterned cardstock also from Memory Box...and sponged the flowers and the edges with some ink...
You can find all these new stamps now, online and at your local craft stores...
And be sure to check tomorrow my French blog : "Un Brin de Créativité", I will have another acetate card using the same stamp but with a different look...to show you how versatile and elegant can be this Poppy Stamp...
Keep visiting us, all week long here at the English blog "Outside the Box" for chances to win one of the new stamps and see what all the other DTM at Memory Box came up with! and do not forget to leave a comment on each post...remember there will be 2 posts per day every day until Friday, showcasing all the new stamps for the Spring Collection 2013!!!
A last look...
Thanks for visiting, Enjoy ...
Bye for today...and ...

Wow, Bibiana, this is a beautiful card and I love this look. Where do you get the acetate like what you used?
I am also happy to hear now there are cling options in the stamps.
You did a fantastic job on this card.

Hello Everybody:
Here BIBIANA...thank you so much for all the comments...YES we are happy with the cling stamps too!!...and the poppy stamp is a hit!!
as for the acetate, Dorothy, asked: I got it at my local scrapbook store...so check first your local stores, but I heard that you might look at Office Depot/Kelly Paper under "clear plastic covers/acetate" 10mm. width. the transparencies can be used but sometimes not so sturdy...look for the width. Simon Says sells some "acetate tags" but not the 81/2x11 sheets that I used...if somebody has a better info let us know..thanks again!
and keep on commenting for a chance to win a wonderful stamp...!!!
