Welcome to my post for the 'stamps only' Blog Blitz Week! (click to see photos full size)
I ❤ the chalkboard look and thought this NEW Butterfly Study stamp would work great with it! I inked up the study with Versamark ink, heat embossed it with white embossing powder on MB Licorice Card-stock.
I stamped the NEW Happy Birthday Background on MB White Card-stock with Memento Espresso Truffle ink and a Stamp a ma jig. I layered the image with MB Cranberry and Kraft Card-stock cut with the Perfect Layers Rulers. I used MB Licorice Distressed Dots Card-stock and mounted the finished piece on a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card. It's for the chalkboard artist in the class! : )
It's that time of year when everyone loves to see flowers blooming! This card features the NEW Luminous Poppies stamp. I inked it with waterbase markers and then moistened it with just a very light spritz of water before I stamped it. I stamped the Butterfly stamp, from the end of the NEW A Very Happy Hello combo with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on a tag and colored it with Copic Sketch Markers warm grays.
The sentiments are from the NEW April Showers combo. I have them in the NEW cling option, so I cut the two lines apart (they fit right back together), inked them with Versafine Onyx Black ink and positioned with the Stamp a ma jig.
MB White, Licorice, Dots and Gingham card-stock and red paper cord to tie on the tag. The layers are cut with the Perfect Layers Rulers. Finished card is A2 size. I ❤ this color combo!
For this card I used the NEW Branches Background stamp, the NEW Just Thinking of You Today stamp and the top line from the NEW Happy Birthday Background stamp. I used the Spring Branch stamp on the MB parchment card-stock, punched circle. The sentiments and branch on the circle are stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.
I played around inking the Branches Background stamp and I liked this result the best with these MB pattern papers, the awesome Bill of Sale 12x12 card-stock and the 6x6 pack Brioche card-stock. I inked the Branches Background with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress inks, a light spritz of water, then stamped on watercolor paper. Then I went over the stamped areas with a water filled waterbrush. When it was dry, I aged it with Antique Linen Distress ink and the ink blending tool.
The birdie square is punched from the Bill of Sale pattern paper. The butterfly is stamped from the NEW Butterfly Study stamp and then cut out. The MB Juniper and Thistle card-stock layers are cut with the Perfect Layers Rulers. A little hemp, a couple snips with the scissors for the fish tail banner, the paper edges aged with Walnut Stain Distress ink and the ink blending tool. A 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch square finished card.

Beautiful cards, but what's up with the text. On my screen it looks like a foreign language. Everything else reads fine, just the text about the projects.

Love your cards! I could read the text in your blog but here looks like Russian. Is it just me? Thanks for sharing and thanks for the chance Pam!

Love what you did with the branches background stamp! I bet you could use it ten more times and it would be different and lovely each time. So, let us see your card if you do use that branch again. I am thinking you will.
