Birthday Chrysanthemums
Here is a card and gift box combo for you today. Recently, a dear friend had a birthday and I took her to Benihana's for dinner---it's our tradition. It seemed appropriate to use the Asian themed dies for her card and gift box (with chocolate truffles inside).
While the chicken fried rice was being prepared, she showed these to the other guests at our table who wanted to know all about card making --even the men (must be a tool thing). We could have had a mini class right there!
It was fun choosing different papers to use with the chrysanthemum dies--I played with solids and patterns using the outline and background dies until I found my favorites. The Clever Koi and lanterns were a perfect fit on the small take out box --it's just the right size for a small treat. Watch for these in an upcoming class in San Diego!
