Diecutting a Springtime Card

P1050484
One of our favorite  die sets for Valentine cards  - the Owl Heart Set - is also perfect for Easter.  Jean Okimoto here, with a simple way to create a spring card with that great set.  View the Memory Box Collection here.

The dies cut and emboss the treetrunk and leaves simultaneously.  I like to enhance the texture by using the embossing plate and rubber mat to emboss them twice.  Punch little eggs from Distressed Dots, Gingham and Moroccan Memory Box Signature Prints and scatter them among the leaves.

The Memory Box Metal Adapter Plate - used with the other plates required for thin metal dies - helps cut the intricate Vintage Bicycle.  A pair of the Resting Birds adds a soft touch of blue in Pool Cardstock.

Stamp Easter Joy inside the card with Glacier Lake ColorBox Archival Dye Ink.  Attach everything to a Sweet Corn Notecard and tuck it into a matching Sweet Corn Envelope.
