Cards are done - signed, sealed and on their way. Now it's time to wrap up some sweets - and Memory Box has the perfect dies for these treats! Jean Okimoto here - with a few last-minute ways to make it an extra-special Valentine's Day.
The dies are well-designed and the containers are easy to assemble. The Mini Takeout Box is the perfect size for a decadent truffle (or two!) You may want to line the box with shredded waxed paper or food-safe tissue for an extra-special presentation. The Precious Heart Box is great for wrapped chocolates or shortbread cookies. The Heart Pocket holds a polybag of candy-sprinkled pretzels (from Top Foods and Haggen stores in the northwest) - they're the perfect, addictive sweet-and-salty combination.
Cut Mini Takeout Box 98522 from Taffy Cardstock. Stamp Row of Hearts E1904 with RubyColorBox Pigment Ink and emboss it with detail clear powder. Distress the edges along the scorelined with a sanding block. Fold the box and tape the tabs. Attach a handle of red craft wire. Stamp Love + Hearts B1423 (tiny hearts are attached to the side of the stamp) on Bubblegum Dots with Ruby and emboss it. Attach it to the handle.
Diecut Heart Pocket 98509 from red felt and stitch along the edges with a double strand of white thread.(Yes, I actually sewed...with a needle, and a thread!). Attach pink felt to sticker paper or an adhesive label and cut "xo" using the Parker Lower Alphabet Set 98363. Attach the letters to the heart.
Remove the two inner hearts from the Precious Heart Box Die 98523 by bending the tiny breakaway tabs. Diecut the box from Currant Distressed Dots. Punch holes for the tulle. Score the left tab 1/4" from the edge. Fold the box along the scorelines and tape it together. Cut the small heart and ribbon from the Precious Hearts Set 98474 from Cherry Blossom Cardstock. Attach it to the box. Tie pink tulle ribbon through the holes.
