A {Card} to Match the Layout
The other day I posted an 8x8 layout of one of our dogs. Well, as I started to put all of my supplies away and clean off my desk, I thought--"why don't I make a card with the same supplies." So, that's what I did. I created a card using the same supplies I used for my layout. If you missed that layout, you can see it here. And here is how the card turned out:
Memory Box Papers: Viola Polka Polka, Viola Candied Violets, Memory Box licorice, dill, and parsley cardstocks
Memory Box Stamp: Just a Note B1053
Stamp Ink: Archival Ink jet black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink dusty concord
Memory Box Dies: Whimsy Circle, Lavish Branch
Embellishments: Blue Fern Studios nifty tags & tickets (colored with Golden gesso and Tim Holtz Distress Ink dusty concord); May Arts twine; Zva Creatvie small white flower; Prima Miss Godiva marshmallow flower, fabrique grape flower, and clock face; sewing machine
This time I cut the Lavish Branch die twice--first with dill cardstock and next with parsley cardstock. It layered so nicely with the two different colors of cardstock. I also used the Whimsy Circle die and cut it out of licorice cardstock. It is layered underneath the Lavish Branch die pieces. The papers I used were scraps left over from my layout--the Viola Polka Polka and Viola Candied Violets papers. The white cardstock is also a Memory Box scrap. That's what I love about Memory Box papers--one side is always white so you can use either the white side or the colored side.
The stamped sentiment on the chipboard tag is only a portion of the Memory Box Just a Note stamp. Since the tag was small, I liked the idea of just using a portion of the stamp.
Thanks for joining me today, and I look forward to bringing you more inspiration soon. Enjoy your Monday!
This is so beautiful, Patter. I love purple! :)

Great card, I always try and make a card after a layout, usually everything matches all ready and it makes it quicker :)
