Some of my favorite dies this year are the Ornaments. Let's see, there's the Drop Ornament...and then add on one of the beautiful patterned ornaments to go on top. You can choose from Colette, Emma or LaRue...
How can you resist any of them??!! I know I couldn't. I had to buy all three. Here's my card design and then I switched things up and made it with all three ornaments. I really like the way it turned out.
- Die cut Drop Ornament from Cranberry Distressed Dots paper
- Die cut Collette, Emma, or LaRue Ornament from whitepaper. Apply Versamark ink over the entire decorative ornament making sure have you the entire piece covered. Then heat emoss with Holographic Embossing powder. Run this through a Xyron machine. Remove the sticker backing and attach it to the Drop Ornament.
- Die cut the Ornament top (attached to the Drop Ornament) from Licorice paper and attach to the top of the ornament.
- Adhere Thistle Moroccan paper to the top portion of a Licorice mat.
- Die cut a border from Cranberry Distressed Dots and add to lower section of Licorice mat.
- I dyed a piece of seam binding ribbon using Distress Inks (Evergreen Bough and Brushed Corduroy). Cut about a 6" piece of the ribbon and wrap around the Licorice paper to cover the seam between the border and the Thistle Moroccan paper. Then attach this all to Cranberry Note Card.
- Adhere a small piece of Poinsettia paper to Licorice paper and attach to card front.
- Attach Ornament with foam tape
- Make a bow out of remaining dyed ribbon and tie with a button/twine. Attach to the front of your card with glue dot.
Thanks for stopping by today!
