I just returned from teaching four Memory Box classes at A Small Cleverness in Orange Park, FL. It's times like this that remind me how blessed I am to be a part of the Memory Box Design Team. To be able to share the wonderful stamps, dies, and papers with crafters is so inspiring! Thank you, Dave for this opportunity. And to the store owners out there, thanks to you, too. We love teaching at your stores with Memory Box products!!
Now, on to my post. This is a tag I taught at my classes this past weekend at A Small Cleverness. Everyone loved the Woodland Christmas Tree.
Instructions:
- Swipe 3-4 colors of Distress Inks onto a non-stick craft mat. Make sure the colors are close together, but not overlapping. I used Festive Berries, Tumbled Glass, and Shabby Shutters.
- Lay the Twelve Days of Christmas stamp into the ink and turn not quite a quarter turn. Then stamp at the bottom of a strip of Parchment paper.
- Ink up the stamp again and stamp lining up the bottom of the stamp with the previous stamping. Repeat one more time. Clean the craft mat.
- Dry this stamped image with heat gun. Trim to 5 3/8” X 2 ½”.
- Ink up Woodland Tree stamp with Coffee Archival Ink and stamp over music. Color image with Distress Markers of your choice. Distress this piece with Antique Linen Distress Ink using ink blending tool and foam and adhere to Mocha paper.
- Add hardware to the top left of the stamped image.
- Distress #8 Manila tag with 3 colors of your choice. I used Festive Berries, Tumbled Glass, and Shabby Shutters. Spritz water in your hand and flick it onto the tag and dry with heat gun.
- Adhere the stamped image to the tag. Loop about 6” of your ribbon through the hole in the tag to get the length you want. Save the leftover.
- Dye some seam binding ribbon to match the tag. Attach ribbon and button to tag.
Thanks for stopping by today!
