Christmas in the City
Welcome back to our Holiday Blog Blitz - hope you're enjoying it as much as we love sharing our Memory Box ideas and inspiration with you! Be sure to add a comment to each designer's post throughout the blitz by 11:59 PM EST that day - you could be the next winner of some great prizes!
Here's a simple contemporary card featuring four of of newest, most popular dies - Cityscape Nightline 98398 with the windows, Cityscape Silhouette 98399, Crystal Snowflake 98397, and the Parker Upper Alphabet Set 98364. I love how easy it is to combine the dies because Dave's done all of the thinking and design engineering for us - all we need to do is chose the papers and assemble the card.
Diecut the following pieces: Cityscape Nightline from Currant Cardstock, Cityscape Silhouette from the Polka Polka 12x12 (also found in the Viola 6x6 Set), and Crystal Snowflake from silver mirror cardstock. Don't remove the tiny petal-shaped center cutouts - use a foam dot to keep them attached to the diecut and to secure the snowflake to the skyline later.
Cut another Cityscape Silhouette from opalescent vellum and attach it behind the Currant diecut to resemble shimmery backlit windows.
Attach a piece of adhesive paper (like a label or sticker sheet) to red felt and diecut "JOY." The paper stabilizes the felt and makes it easier to attach to the card.
Cut a 4" square of Dove Cardstock. Cut, score and fold a 5.5" square card of Slate Cardstock. Trim the buildings as shown. Assemble the card...that's it!
