Nature Calls
Whether you're creating a card for a nature-lover, gardener or a "no frills" friend, this card may just fit their style. In this case my friend could be described as all three. With a birthday just days away I planned this card to be a little something special for his special day. All it takes is a little distressing, stamping, inking and layering.
Materials:
G1862 Whisper Print Leaf
G1848 Disressed Garden Record
B1851 For your Birthday
98349 Floral Delights
98337 Floral Vine
33011 Dill Notecard
Memory Box Patterned paper
Instructions:
- Stamp Distressed Garden Record onto eggshell paper using Jumbo Java Versamagic ink.
- Sponge Gingerbread Versamagic ink around edges
- Ink Whisper Print Leaf with multiple Tombo markers. Mist colors with water then stamp onto Distressed Garden Record.
- Cut various sizes and shapes of paperned paper and rough up edges with a distressing tool.
- Stamp sentiment in black and layer with multi colored patterned paper.
- Custom color white ribbon by inking with Adirondack red pepper ink and misting with Ranger Perfect Pearls. Crumple, wrinkle and dry ribbon (hair dryer for me). Form a messy bow tied with twine and a metal button then attach to raised panel. Die cut Floral Vine, add tiny flowers from Floral Delights die and secure behind ribbon with adhesive.
- Add a gift card and a personal message inside and you have a wonderful birthday gift for your nature lover.
It's as easy a that and it comes with your personal touch. I'll be teaching my next Memory Box Class July 27th at Stamping Details in Poway, Ca. If you're in the area, come join us!
Happy Friday!
