Hello Spring!
We've been having beautiful sunny weather and I've spent a some time outdoors with nature. It inspired me to create this "Happy Spring" card.
As you can tell by this card, I love the Memory Box dies and use them in my card classes and to make cards for friends or family. This card has just two stamped images and the rest are all dies....
#98121 Blooming Rosette & Center
#98256 Pepita Border
#98145 Museum Tag
#98281 Cupid's Heart (used to make leaves)
B1215 Happy Spring
G1839 Mail Definitions
- For the background I embossed the paper using the Distressed Stripes embossing folder leaving the right side smooth.
- Create the sunflower using the Blooming Rosette die; apply gingerbread brown ink on the petal tips.
- Die cut the Museum Tag then trace a second tag using the metal die as a template then scissor cut. It will be slighty larger than the die cut one. Layer the smaller tag onto the large one. Add twine through the top hole.
- Die cut 2 Cupid's Hearts in different greens to create leaves; stamp the solid green leaf with Mail Definitions in dark green ink then slightly bend both leaves in half and tuck the rounded edges behind the flower along with the tag.
- Add a stip of key lime distressed dots paper and the die cut Pepita Border to the lower edge.
That's all there is to it! This one is easy enough to make several at a time so send them to neighbors, kids teachers, nursing home residents and maybe your hairdresser...spread the joy, you will surely brighten someone's day with this card.
Happy Friday--- And Happy Mother's Day on Sunday!
