Happy Birthday
I just sent this card off to celebrate my BIL birthday. I had a lot of fun creating the layers on the background. The background is a combination of stamping, tissue paper, and watered down Elmer's glue.
Recipe:
- Cut a strip of white cardstock. Smaller than the desired size of the main image.
- Stamp over background using Mail definition using black water resistant ink. Repeat until covered.
- Stamp flowers onto tissue paper. Spray with glimmer mists (Green, Blue)
- Apply watered down glue over surface of stamped cardstock.
- Lay tissue paper onto wet glue surface. Use brush to add watered down glue over tissue paper.
- Repeat the process multiple times. Allow tissue paper to hang over the edges of the white cardstock. Stamp text onto some of the tissue paper pieces to blend back into the images.
- Let dry.
- Tear off excess edges of tissue paper leaving jagged edges. Tear off any areas on the surface that you don't like the effect. Sponge on brown dye ink over edges and surface.
- Tie with twine.
- Attach to card base.
- Stamp sentiment in corner.

I just came across this card and love it but am confused. In Step 6, what "process" are you repeating? Are you adding additional layers of tissue paper or just speading watered-down glue over the one piece of tissue paper?
Thanks
