Birthday Gift
Hello, welcome to the Memory Box blog blitz. I wanted to make a gift and card that could be used for any special occasion. I stamped the Dogwood Wreath #G1838, in Black Ink and colored my image with copic markers. I spattered the background with antique linen distress ink and a paintbrush. The image was cut with spellbinder scallop circle die, as was the Pea Pod green background paper. Next I inked with Vintage Dreams, G1838, with Bundled Sage Distress Ink and stamped it on eggshell cardstock. This was layered on bubblegum card stock. The sentiment B1851 was stamped in black and layered on Pea Pod cardstock. Using Eggshell cardstock I die cut the Tessatina Border #98302. Assemble card as shown.
For the necklace I stamped the Dogwood Wreath with black ink and colored a small portion of it. Trim the image a little larger than a scrabble tile. Ahere to the smooth side of tile using glossy accents. Whan dry trim excess paper. Apply a coat of glossy accents to the top of image. Let this dry 24 hours. Glue a jewelry bail to the back of tile. Add a silver chain and you have a quick and easy gift.
Enjoy! Don't forget to check back each day this week for more great ideas.

This card and pendant look like Spring! The delicate Tessatina Border diecut gives the impression of a trellis holding the wreath. Thanks for sharing!

My mother enjoyed dogwoods. She did a huge cutwork table cloth and numerous napkins with a dogwood pattern and had a dogwood wallpaper mural in her bedroom. These projects are a fun tribute to the dogwood. Thank you for sharing, Joyce
