Wax Paper Poinsettia
I have been inspired by the Tim Holtz Twelve Tags of Christmas and created a few using my Memory Box stamps.
Recipe:
- Stamp Vintage Christmas Words using brown ink on white cardstock tag.
- Distress edges using distressing tool, sponge edges with brown dye ink.
- Crinkle surface of tag by crumpling into a ball. Smooth flat again and drag brown dye ink across surface.
- Create mini tag from white cardstock and stamp sentiment (We wish you a Merry Christmas) using brown ink. Distress edges and sponge. Stamp across top half of tag the Vintage Christmas words.
- Take wax paper from your pantry. :) Apply red alcohol inks along with blending solution over the entire 8 1/2 x 11 surface. Add snow cap mixative by dabbing onto the surface. Repeat until desired colors.
- Wipe surface after dry with static remover (Dryer sheet)
- Stamp Poinsettia using versamark on wax paper. Heat emboss using white embossing powder. Repeat two more times.
- Cut out poinsettias. Layer with glue dots onto corner of tag.
- Cut out leaves from green cardstock and distress with brown dye ink.
- Layer in various leaves, gem flourishes and feathers.
Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful!!! You've given Tim a run for his money. This is one of the prettiest tags I've seen this season (including Tim's)! I've gotta try that wax paper technique.
