Spooky Halloween
Hello Memory Box fans! Thanks for stopping by the What's In The Box Blog Blitz. So far, you've seen two amazing card designs from Sue T and Linda featuring new holiday images, and then a cool Halloween mini album from Pat. This afternoon I want to share a Halloween card with you.
These new images from the latest What's In The Box release are so fun! The stamps, the papers, the dies - ALL gorgeous! Pair them up with the adorable new patterned note cards for a great look.
For this card I layered new papers from the Nightfall collection over a distressed dots card. I stamped and embossed the new Vintage Halloween Words (G1802) in black over the new Index Card image (G1781) and cut it out. (There is an awesome new die to match this Index Card, but sadly, I don't have it - YET!) I also used Ranger's Perfect Pearls Sunflower Sparkle spritz to add a bit of shimmer over the words. Creeping out from behind the index card is a piece of May Arts leaf ribbon. It started out white, but I sponged over it with black ink and also spritzed it with the Sunflower Sparkle spray from Ranger. I hope you can see a bit of the shimmer in this close up shot.
In the lower right corner I stamped the new Crow and Pumpkin (C1800) image in black ink. Orange and brown Spica markers from Copic were the perfect coloring medium to give that little extra sparkle to the pumpkin.
I am teaching this card in my What's In The Box Fall/Halloween workshop on Jul 15th and 16th at Ink About It. For more info on Memory Box Classes around the country, look here.
Be sure to check this blog daily for lots of great peeks at this new release. Leave us your comments to be eligible for awesome Memory Box prizes, too.
Thanks for visiting.

Lori, this is great - I'll be quite happy with all Halloween items although the Christmas does make me think of snow which is good in this 90 degree weather!
Like others, I'm really digging the tags - so many uses!
Great card - Gina G.

I have started to think about my Halloween cards and you have read my mind. Love this card. The pumpkin is so cute and turning the leaves black was brilliant.

I was never really into making Halloween cards...until I found Memory Box stamps and paper. Now that you've started making dies, I can't wait to see if there are any Halloween ones. Thanks for the great ideas.
