It's All About the Mood!

As soon as I saw this photo of my daughter, I just cracked up. It not only brought back memories from our trip last summer but also how tired she was of being in the car! I asked her permission before I scrapped it to post "around the internet," and she said "sure." So, from a 16 year old, I took that as a "go ahead, Mom."  :) :)  To help "enhance" the mood of the photo, I used the new Memory Box licorice distressed dots patterned paper for my page base. It was just perfect. The piece of grey paper in the Memory Box Minuet 6x6 pack was also perfect for this.  And can you find the stamps I used on here? :)
Papers:  Memory Box Minuet, Memory Box licorice distressed dots
Memory Box Stamps:  Journey Collage G1733 (for title), Bitsy Car A1729
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink black soot
Embellishments: Creative Café buttons, Scenic Route chipboard alpha, Heidi Grace flowers, misc. paper flowers, Pink Paislee Fascinating chipboard leaves, Copic 100, Dymo labeler

If you didn't find them, let's look at how I used the new stamps on this layout:

Journey Collage G1733--I stamped just the lower half of this stamp onto Minuet paper. I then trimmed it down and incorporated it into my title!

Bitsy Car A1729--Next I stamped this image several times on the layout: twice down by the title and once on the journaling tag. Just a bit of the car "peeps" through on the journaling tag. I thought that would be fun just to show a part of the image.

Oh, I think I'm going to love that paper! And the Journey collage stamp, too. Oh my, my. The page is awesome

Such beautiful colors! I love the new minuet paper.

It's funny how the paper sets the mood. The papers work so well with the photograph. I love how you did the title, a neat way to use the collage stamp. And the cars are so cute and appropriate for your page. Wonderful work! Thank you for sharing it!

I can soooo appreciate the expression on your daughter's face. I've had 2 children go through their teens and two more IN their teens now. Oh what fun! I love the layout and the paper. What a nice daughter to allow you to post that photo. She's a keeper! :)

The lay out is great - I like how you
used the smaller MB papers on the page and stamped the little car in different spots. Very nice !

I have already purchased one of the little cars and can hardly wait to use it! Too cute:)

Cute page even with the grouchy face. But that is kids/teens for you. You captured a memorable moment:)

Love your layout and the size is great, the papers are fabulous, love your stamping techniques as well. Overall fab job.

Patter, awesome page and I sure can feel yor daughters pain...I don't like riding in th car either....not long distance anyway!! ;D. Love the new papers!! Hugs, Sabrina

I really need to scrapbook my memories more. Your pages are an inspiration!

What a charming layout - and photo too! The papers are yummy and so is the teen!

what a fantastic layout! and so sweet of your daughter to say "yes" to letting you put it out there!!

such a fun layout!! great idea to trim down and use just part of a stamp- love it!!

This is driving me crazy! I live hours away from the closest store that carries Memory Box, and have to buy everything online. So I am DYING to see the stamps in the new release so I can plan a big order. I'd love to see it all at once instead of one stamp at a time. Who can recommend a great place online that carries the whole line?

Wonderful layout, love the colors, very inspirational.

I LOVE Memory Box...and just cannot believe how you just keep getting better and better! When I think you have outdone yourselves...somehow you still manage to surprise me with your releases and I Have to Have them all!
Can't wait to see "What's in the Box"!
Keep it up!

I like the way the 6 inch papers look on an 8x8 page. It's a beautiful page and a cute daughter!

What an eloquent facial expression! Can't believe she gave her OK! Great work!

Love the blue in this paper. I think I made that very same face a time or two as a teenager. Love the layout, especially the little cars. Thank you to you and your daughter.

Great layout! I love all your details. The new papers are gorgeous. Thanks to your daughter for letting you share her pic with us!
