Noel, Noel

The solid Classic Pear and intricate Embellished Pear overlay dies quickly transition between the seasons and become a great combination for holiday cards too.  The leaf and stem - part of the Classic Pear set - realistially accent the pear when cut from Dill Cardstock and recycled cardboard.  It's outlined and shaded with Pink Sky from the ColorBox Chalk Limited Edition Collection. 

Diecut a simple "noel" from Cranberry Cardstock using the Classic Lower Alphabet set (yes, it's upside-down here!) - and layer everything over a background of Distressed Jingle Bells stamped in ColorBox Chalk Guacamole Limited Edition Ink.

Santa Bird

Don't just put a bird on it - add a Santa Hat and Flowering Winterberry Branch too!  It's easy to do all of that with the new Madeline Bird 98424 and Flowering Winterberry 98391 from the 2012 Holiday Collection - and the Santa Hat 98232, a favorite from 2011  I diecut the hat from felt, adding a double layer of the white for extra dimension.

The Cherry ColorBox Premium Dye Inkpad is a true Christmas red - perfect with Simply Wonderful B1870 for a quick greeting.

 

It's hard to imagine a Memory Box card without a diecut - it would look as though something's missing. They are great for masking, embossing and stenciling too - or back diecut Memory Box papers  with lightweight chipboard to accent your cards and layouts.

Sparkling Woodland Tree

Here's a switch from holiday reds and greens...try Boysenberry, Dove Gray, Parsley and Key Lime for a cool, contemporary look.  

The new Woodland Christmas Tree G1898 is great for embossing with Clearsnap's ColorBox Frost White Pigment Ink and detail white embossing powder.  The combination creates an opaque, delicately-detailed tree to highlight with Sparkling Amethyst Glitter.

The Parker Lower Alphabet 98363 set works with any design - and is great with felt, vellum and lightweight chipboard too.
