The Memory Box Dies are Coming!

Paint an acrylic block with Twinkling H20's  - then give it a quick spritz of water to create a background of brilliant, shimmery color.  Press the inks onto cardstock - allowing them to blend and swirl together to create a great background for stamping our Gorgeous Bloom (E1760) and Gorgeous Mini Bloom (B1761).  

Here's a preview of a new item...the Loop Border Die (98128) used here is from the new Memory Box Dies Collection.  Dave's designed beautiful intricate borders, scalloped edges, labels, tickets, tags, artsy circles, buttons, a rosette, a trio of monkeys and the cutest elephant you've ever seen.  They're perfectly sized for cards - and great for scrapbook pages too.  Monkey Mania (98112), Bubba Elephant (98113) and Orchid Branch (98108) are designed to work with the matching stamps - and eliminate detailed cutting.  The designs will be on our website soon - you'll love them!

• Acrylic Stamp Block (Approximately 4-1/4" x 5-1/2")
• Paintbrush
• ColorBox Wicked Black Archival Dye Inkpad
• EK Success 2-3/4" Circle Punch
• Cuttlebug (and Spacer, Thin Dies Adapter and Cutting Mat)
• Iron
• Sanding Block
• 1/16" Hole Punch
• Silver Mini-brads

Directions

• Paint sections of the acrylic block with Solar Gold, Playful Peony, Ruby Red and Spiced Pumpkin Twinkling H20's
• Spritz the inks with water and press the inked acrylic block onto smooth white cardstock 
• Allow the colors to run together and blend
• Remove the block and allow the inks to air-dry for a few minutes
• Dry the cardstock with an iron on the cotton setting
• Stamp Gorgeous Bloom twice on the dried cardstock and dry the ink
• Stamp Gorgeous Mini Bloom once on the dried cardstock and dry the ink
• Cut the three flowers out and ink the edges with Wicked Black
• Layer and adhere them in the center
• Punch a 2-3/4" circle of the Minuet text print
• Use the Loop Border Die to cut a border of Goldfish Cardstock
• Trim the border to approximately 5"
• Cut a 1-3/4" x 4" strip of Soiree Lagoon Shimmer Cardstock
• Attach the pieces to a Soiree Slate A2 Card
• Attach Silver Mini-brads below the flower
• Coordinate the card with a matching Soiree Slate A2 Envelope

I'm on my way to teach six classes at The Paper Garden Boutique in Sacramento on Friday and Saturday.  Stephanie and her team did such a great job of promoting the classes there are just a few seats left in most of the classes.  We'll be using the just-released Bill of Sale 12x12 from the Valise Collection of beautiful designs printed on kraft cardstock - and many, many, many Memory Box and Poppystamps proudcts.  Class times are listed on our classes blog.

Easter Joy

Hope everyone enjoyed our Memory Box/Creative Imaginations blog hop - so many techniques, and a whole rainbow of beautiful, shimmery colors.  I learned a lot from everyone's posts and projects - hope you did too!

Thanks Dave, for always designing such great stamps and papers - and to Creative Imaginations and their Design Team for a chance to exchange ideas and work with your beautiful inks!  

Here's the new Bitsy Branch (C1703), with a bonus leaf attached to the side of the stamp - just in time for Spring and Easter greetings!  I thought it would be fun to stamp the branch vertically and use it as a tree trunk.  It's a quick and easy card - simple stamping, a punched border of Key Lime Distressed Dots, and eggs punched from Blueberry, Squash, Bubblegum, Vanilla Bean and Mango Dots.  The new greeting - Easter Joy (B 1763) - adds the finishing touch.

Springtime Miracles

Shades of green, butterflies and circles create a quick spring collage with Vintage Record Sheet (G1712), Circle Word Background (E1711) and Fine Fern Print (G1719). They stamp and layer perfectly on glossy cardstock with ColorBox Archival Dye Inks in Khaki Green, Mermaid and Golf Course.  Add some accent strips and butterflies from the Minuet 6x6 Set - and the Miracles of Springtime greeting.  That's it!
