Playing catch-up after a really busy day here...I'm using my newest favorite stamp again - it's the versatile Leaf Canopy (F1430) - as an overlay on Birch Trees (F1413).
First, stamp and clear-emboss Crafty Birds (D1431). Stamp Birch Trees next - and use a cotton swab to quickly remove any residual ink that lands on the embossed birds. Repeat the process with Leaf Canopy.
The embossing masks the birds, and keeps most of the subsequent inks from stamping onto them. Inks have different characteristics and results - ColorBox Fluid Chalk Toffee and Olive Pastel worked perfectly for this technique.
Beautiful card! I love how you layered your stamps. Thank you for sharing!
