Today's winterscape - by the Memory Box Design Team - features a border of trees on a beautiful color-washed background. Polar White Flowersoft creates a soft snowy base at the trunk of the trees.
Tree Border is another stamp for all seasons. It's featured here - with a wintery backdrop - and also looks great with rust, bronze and copper shades for fall. For spring - daub shades of creamy yellow, soft pink or pale green around the treetops to suggest dogwood or cherry blossoms on the shorter, rounder trees. Don't forget summer...bright green leaves and dots of red or orange suggest a bumper crop of sweet cherries or juicy oranges.
The shorter days and last night's downpour remind me that fall is here...and it's time to prepare for tomorrow's Holiday Preview class at the University Village Impress. This is an amazing store, where every square inch holds a special product for papercrafting. Here's a peek at what we're doing tomorrow - 6 cards, two each in traditional reds and greens, rich jewel tones and winter pastels. The green card holds a hidden pop-up three-piece snowman. I tried scanning it for this post - unfortunately he looked like a stack of white pancakes with eyes and a carrot nose - but he creates a fun 3-D surprise when you open the card. Trust me.
Oooh, fabulous winter scene..love the snow on the bottom of the trees..looks sooo real!! Gotta hunt for that FS Polar white now..!! TFS :o)
