Twelve Days of Christmas

Busy Memory Box weekend ahead for classes.  It's "Animal Kingdom" at Stampin'-in-the-Rain tomorrow - using the Hear Me Roar, Giraffe Party and All Ears Clear Sets, and Big and Small Pooches from Poppystamps.

Sunday's "Sunny Greetings" class at the University Village Impress includes summery cards using the Dress Form and Summer Penguin Clear Sets,  and the great new Twilight 6x6 Set.   The clear button on this card is from Impress.

Crimson Holiday Collage

Today's holiday card features the Night Before Clear Set and the Spiceberry 6x6 Set.  Not trying to sound theoretical here... but although there's a lot happening on this card, I think it works because the deep colors tie the mixed patterns together.

Dave selected a great font for "December" -it contrasts nicely with vintage script in the background.

A Winter Greeting

 

Here's another design featuring new items from our Christmas and Fall 2009 Collection...

Color-washed patterns, soft pastels and our Christmas Jewel Stickers create a wintry backdrop for one of our latest bird images. It's actually a very understated collage stamp - combining the background, bird and holly  -  that's perfect for watercolors, color pencils, paper-piecing and chalking.

The Christmas Jewel Stickers are new too...a set of cherry red, moss green and sparkling diamond jewels in two sizes. It'll be great for holiday lights, holly berries - and Rudolph's nose!

A Holiday Wish

Here's the first of many, many holiday and fall cards featuring our new stamps, papers and Jewel Stickers.

It's always a challenge (a fun challenge!) to select the stamps and papers from a new release.  The Holiday 2009 Collection is no exception - I chose these because I love working with birds and backgrounds. The new Snowflake Jewel Stickers are the finishing touch - a trio of them adds just the right amount of sparkle.

Just a reminder... Halloween and Holiday idea posts begin this weekend! 

New clear sets, wood stamps, 6x6 Papers and Jewel Stickers are arriving in stores daily - and Dave is on a whirlwind teaching tour sharing the magic of Memory Box for the holidays.  It's a season of contrasts - simple designs and layered collagey looks, winter pastels and rich seasonal colors - with new Jewel Stickers to match them.  And...sure to be a favorite, beautiful sparkly snowflake Jewel Stickers too! 

It's been fun working with the clear stamps released this summer, like the Little Birdie Clear Set featured here, but I can't wait to share some fall and holiday ideas beginning with my next post.

Vintage Dress

Stamp, snip, seal and send...that's all it takes to get this simple card on its way.  The dress form is great with just about any print - the Fernbrae sheet used here is no exception.  It's an easy card to make - and, even better - it's easy to create it in a variety of prints.  A few Pearl Stickers and some punched shoes dress it up to celebrate a special occasion.

Testing the Water

Here's a lady penguin from the Summer Penguin Clear Set - testing the water, one foot at a time.  The Glitterati 6x6 Set is perfect for summer cards, with its bright colors and lively patterns.  

Our Holiday 2009 What's in the Box? program is now arriving at stores  - and you are in for a treat! Great woodstamps, clear sets and three of the most versatile 6x6 Sets ever.  I hate to sound like an info-mercial, "but wait...there's more!"  There are new Jewel Stickers too, in perfect fall and holiday colors. Dave and his design team have also created a set of sample cards that you'll love.

Dreaming of a Green Christmas

The Impress Christmas in July celebration begins tomorrow. Ann, Cindi, Lara, Shari and the entire team have an upscale, top-notch event planned for you.  

New Memory Box items and samples will be displayed - and Dave himself will be at Tukwila tomorrow night.  The ink is drying, glue is setting up, bows are being tied and the stores are being transformed into a marketplace of holiday ideas and inspiration.

It's also a weekend of special classes - Impress Quick and Easy Christmas Cards with Shari Acuff,  Collage Christmas Cards with LaVonne Harrington, and my Dreaming of a Green Christmas class.  I'll be sharing ideas for five cards, using both "old" and brand-new Memory Box products, with ideas for re-using and up-cycling scraps of 6x6 papers, packaging and other household items.
