Today's holiday card features the Night Before Clear Set and the Spiceberry 6x6 Set. Not trying to sound theoretical here... but although there's a lot happening on this card, I think it works because the deep colors tie the mixed patterns together.
Dave selected a great font for "December" -it contrasts nicely with vintage script in the background.
