First things first - you still have time to submit entries for our four $100 Memory Box Bucks contests. Links on the bottom left sidebar will lead you to the contest rules and submission info. Each contest is different. I love the projects I've received so far. Hope yours is one of them. If not...hurry!
Here's another green card - literally - and as in recycle-your-paperscraps green. I wanted three Eclipse Trees - but didn't have the time (or patience) to color all of the branches. A scalloped circle punch and scraps of Sweetbay 6x6 papers and the Wildflower Garden 12x12 sheet made it an easy project.
It's usually around this time - about two months after new Memory Box papers are introduced - that scrap-control and paper-stashing issues start to surface. There's no cure for it - but sealable poly-bags help alleviate some of the symptoms.
InKollage.Idea #5 - Store your 6x6 sets in 8" poly-bags. Place the whole sheets in the bags, and keep a smaller sandwich-size bag for the scraps stored inside the 8" bag. Staple the cover sheet upside-down in the 8" bag, raising it so the staples are about 7" from the bottom of the bag and their backsides don't damage the sheets. It's stapled upside-down so - in a real crunch - you can remove the coversheet and use the decorative portion on a project. It's all a lot easier done than said - here's what it looks like:
Thanks for the storage suggestion. I've reached that out of control scrap stage with a few 6x6 packs and the original cellophane packaging is just not cutting it anymore! Love the card too!
