Springtime {Fun}

With Spring in the air, butterflies dancing around our yard, and flowers blooming, I thought it would be fun to create a springtime card. With the newest Spring Symphony release from Memory Box, there are many new stamps to create just the perfect springtime card!  And since there are so many stamps, I decided to use five of them on this card!

To create the card, I stamped the butterfly shadow and the flower shadow using teal distress inks. Then I used Memento tuxedo black to stamp the outlines on top of each. After cutting them out, I used Memory Box jewels and pearls on the butterfly and the flowers. The cork fence was a fun addition to add a different texture to the card.

Layered {Flower}

Oh goodness, have you seen the newest stamps? Yes, there has been another release called Spring Symphony, and I will share 3 of the new stamps with you today. If you want to see all of the newest stamps, please look here. :)

Today, I wanted to show you how I used the Gorgeous Mini Bloom {B1761} stamp with the Gorgeous Bloom {E1760} stamp to create a layered flower. 

First, I stamped each image twice onto a piece of Memory Box Sheet Music 12x12 paper. I then cut them out. The Gorgeous Bloom image I cut out along the outer lines. The second Gorgeous Bloom image, I cut along one of the inner lines. I did that also with the Mini Blooms. Once I cut them out, I spritzed them with water and crumpled them up. Yes, I truly wadded them up! :) Then I opened them up and dried them with my heat tool. When drying small images, make sure you use a clothes pin to hold your image or you will burn your fingers.


After they dried, I inked the edges, and layered them to make my flower. Simple yet fun!  I then stamped the new Makes Me Smile {B1765} stamp onto a piece of cork to create my background with sentiment.  Here is how my card turned out:
