World Card Making Day & Contests!

Happy World Card Making Day everyone!  Sorry for being slow in my posts this week--it turned out to be a busier week than I anticipated!  But, I am here today with fun news!  First, Cate is hosting our next $100 Memory Box Bucks contest!  If you missed our last one that I hosted, now is your chance to enter.  You can see all of the details on Cate's blog here!  I hope you will join in on the fun!

Second, I am hosting a small World Card Making Day contest this weekend!  All you need to do to enter is create a new card, layout, or tag using any of Memory Box's new Holiday Releases seen here.  Post a link to your creation with a list of the new release(s) you used in the comment thread of this post by Sunday, Oct. 4th, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.  I will pick a winner on Monday. One lucky winner will receive a 6x6 paper pack from Memory Box!  I hope you will play along!  I will post my card later.  I am headed out to a meeting and to teach but I will be back!  Feel free to ask questions here too, and I will answer when I return.  Happy Crafting everyone!

And We Have a Winner!!

Yes, it's Tuesday!  And I promised we would announce a winner for the $100 Memory Box Bucks contest today!  I am so excited to say that we have finally whittled it down and come up with a winner.  There were some REALLY great entries, and we struggled between several of them!  Thank you all for playing along.  Now for our winner. . .

This entry comes from Peggy!  Peggy altered this tin using the Spiceberry papers along with the Snowman Friends {CL144} clear stamp set.  She then created cards and tags to go inside the tin.  We just LOVE this idea not to mention it is adorable!  Plus look how she uniquely used the popsicle sticks on each creation.  Just a wonderful, wonderful creation!  Huge congrats to you Peggy.  Please e-mail me so that we can get you all set up to go shopping. :)

One Last Entry & Contest Update

Happy Saturday everyone!  We had one last entry come in from Amy!  I thought I would share it with you as well as let you know when a winner will be announced!  First, let's look at Amy's card:

She used the Memory Box Modern Holly Bird stamp and Spiceberry papers which really gives this card a rich look.  I love how she placed her cute sentiment on the popsicle stick too.  Adorable!

Today, I have three great entries to share with you!  First, here is an entry from Rosemary!
 
Look how she hung the paper by the popsicle stick.  So very cute!  Love the little knots and ties.  Rosemary used the amazing Spiceberry papers and the Snowy Eve {CL142} clear stamp set along with the Poinsettia Silhouette {E1282} stamp.  Just a beautiful card!

And the  next two entries come from Peggy!  Look at this altered tin with cards and tags to put inside.  How precious.  And look how she used the popsicle sticks on each piece.  So clever and cute!  Peggy used the Spiceberry papers also along with the Snowman Friends {CL144} clear stamp set!  Such a cute gift idea!
 
And here is her Scalloped Owl {C1293} card using the Twilight papers.  Super adorable, and I love how she wrapped the popsicle stick in hemp and added the leaves.  Too creative!

More Contest Entries for Your Inspiration!

Today I wanted to share two more contest entries for your inspiration!  Remember, if you still have not entered yet, you have until this Friday, 9/11, to get your entries in!  Let's see those creations!

Both of today's creations come from Jan.  She created two holiday cards--one using the new Dewfrost papers, and one using the new Spiceberry papers.  Here is her Dewfrost creation:

I love how she used a dauber to color the popsicle stick to match the paper.  Her images were stamped using the Memory Box Night Before clear stamp set, and I love how she paired the calendar and ornaments stamps together.  The touch of bling she used on the corner of the calendar is perfect.  For that she used the new Memory Box sparkling snowflake jewel.  Just the perfect touch!

Her second entry using the Spiceberry papers is perfectly matched up with a Memory Box dill notecard and Memory Box kraft paper for stamping her images.  She also stamped on her popsicle stick and added some Memory Box jewels.

See More Contest Entries!

Today, I have more contest entries to share with you.  These entries come from Andrea and Janice.  Let's look at Andrea's two entries.

For both of her cards, she stamped on the popsicle stick and used hemp to tie them to her tags.  Such a cute idea.  I also love how she used the Crystal Effects on the scarves of the owls on the Owl Branch stamp {F1287}.  Both of these cards are just adorable!



And here is a fun entry from Janice:

I love how she broke up the popsicle stick to create a fence.  I just pray she didn't get any splinters.  Ouch!  But such a cute, cute idea and a wonderful card!  You can see more about her entry here.

I'm Back with Another Contest Entry!

Hi everyone!  Well, I have been on vacation thus I haven't posted much this past week.  I am glad to be back, and I will be sharing more Memory Box inspiration with you in the days to come!

For today, I wanted to share another contest entry.  This entry comes from Corina.  She was a little unsure about using a popsicle stick, and she mentioned that it was a challenge.  Well, I sure hope that is not what is keeping you from entering!  Think out of the box. First Contest Entries {Yeah}!

I am so excited to host another $100 Memory Box Bucks Contest!  And most of you know I do everything in three's so your contest this month will require that you use these three items:

**Memory Box patterned paper from ANY Memory Box 6x6 paper pack
**One of our new release Holiday Stamps seen here (clear or wood mount)
**A popsicle stick for fun; get creative!  Here is my card sample:
 

How do you enter?  Post a link to your creation here in the comment section by Friday, September 11th, at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time.  You can create a layout of any size, a card, tag, or altered item.  I will pick one amazing creation and announce our winner on Saturday.  Please note that you must include a product list with your entry, and there is a limit of 2 entries per person.  And remember, your list must include the Memory Box paper pack and holiday stamp you used on your creation.
