Another {Class} Card

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to share another card that we will be making in the class I am teaching at Stamper's Alley on Nov. 3rd.

Memory Box Papers: Yuletide, Paper Trey Ink kraft cs
Stamps: Memory Box Twelve Day (G1899), Memory Bo Merriest Holiday Season (B1888)
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink fired brick, Versa Mark
Embellishments: Hug Snug colored with Glimmer Mist brick & Maya Road Mist Carnation Pink, May Arts twine, misc. brown button, popsicle stick

I will also show you how to make the crinkle ribbon. It's SO fun and adds such a nice texture to your cards and creations. And here are the 3 cards we will be making in class:

Holiday Polar Bear

I am so excited to share that I will now be teaching at Stamper's Alley in Mooresville, NC. My first class will feature holiday cards using lots of Memory Box goodies. Class will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 9:30 a.m. Here is one of the cards we will create:

This card uses many different items to create fun textures. On this card I used: cork, burlap, a paint chip, faux stitching, and twine. I hope you will join us if you are in the area! January Class {Card 4}

Okay, I hope you are not sick of the class cards yet. :) This is the last one to share with you! This will be the 4th card we make in the class I am teaching on January 28th. If you missed my post with the class information, see this post here. And here is card number 4:

Can you see a hint of a new stamp done in VersaMark on the top part of the card? It's easier to see in person. January Class {Card 1}

First, I hope you had an amazing Christmas! And now as January approaches, it's time to start preparing for my class at Stamp Salado on January 28th. I will be doing Valentine cards with several techniques thrown in. I will be sharing each of the cards here over the next few days, and I hope if you are in the area that you will call the store and sign up for a few hours of card making fun! A Quick Layout & Class Info!

I wanted to share my upcoming class info with you and a layout! For those of you new to my blog, I teach Memory Box classes at Stamp Salado in Salado, TX. My next class will be held on July 30th at 10:30 a.m., and it will be the first of a scrapbook series. We will be making two 8x8 scrapbook pages using Memory Box stamps, pearls, dies, and papers. For this first class, here is the "easier" of the two pages you will be making: 


This is actually the right-hand side of the two pages. I prefer scrapping single pages but created these two pages to match for those of you that enjoy doing two page spreads. This will work for either type of scrapper! If you are new to scrapping, join us. It's really just like making a larger card with a photo!

After this July class,  I will be holding classes on September 3rd and September 17th so be sure and mark your calendars! I hope to see you! Blessings,

A Different Take on {Dave's} Printer's Tray

So, did y'all see Dave's "What's in the Box 2011" printers tray? He tweeted about it last week. If you missed the tweet/photo, look here. :) Awesome tray, huh?  Well, Dave painstakingly made these for ALL of the stores that are part of the What's in the Box program! Is that not amazing? I bet he doesn't want to look at another printer's tray for a LONG time! Well, I will be teaching this workshop in March so I wanted to share with you my class sample (though it will hang in my craft room once the workshop is over). :) :)


It's hard to see all of the details but I will share those and a complete product list once the workshop is over.  And if you notice, there are a few pictures of my precious parrots. :) I would love for each class participant to be able to personalize their trays so we will be using some photos of pets, grandchildren, kiddos, anything meaningful to those attending class. Ready for Another Valentine Creation?

I love the new Adore Peony Collage {G1433} stamp!  It can be used in so many ways. The other Memory Box designers have used their Copic markers with this stamp, paper pieced the image, watercolored the image, etc. So in an effort to not repeat, I decided to try coloring the flowers in with Stickles for fun! :)


I was surprised at how much gold showed up with the diamond Stickles. I can't wait to try this again with a different color of Stickles. They can truly give this a different look each time.

A {Green} Valentine

Today I wanted to share another card that participants will make in my upcoming class on January 22. If you missed those details, please see my post here.  Anyway, I thought it would be fun to use the new Elephant Party 12x12 paper to make a "green Valentine."  The colors in the Pixie papers make it fun to highlight any color--pink, green, marmalade, blue, etc. I loved highlighting the green and making a non-traditional Valentine.  If you haven't picked up the 6x6 Pixie pack yet, I highly recommend it. All of Memory Box's 6x6 paper packs are FULL of yummy colors and designs.  Remember, to find a Memory Box store, you can use the Store Finder here.
