Have you played with any of the new tree stamps yet? I am talking about the Tree of Blooms G1769 and Tree of Birds G1768 stamps. These are perfect stamps for coloring and creating a simple card. The reason I say "simple card" is because it then keeps the focus on the colored image. That is just what I did today with the Tree of Blooms stamp.
First, I stamped the image onto X-Press It blending paper.
Then I used these Copics to color the tree and flowers:
After coloring, it was very fast to ink the edges of the paper, add my background paper from the 6x6 Valise paper pack, and then to add some twine and a sentiment to finish. Super simple yet keeps the focus on the image.
Papers: Memory Box Valise, Memory Box kraft notecard, X-Press It blending paper
Stamps: Memory Box Tree of Blooms G1769, Memory Box Let's Catch Up B883
Stamp Ink: Memento rich cocoa, Tim Holtz Distress Ink rusty hinge
Copics: G40, G82, G85, Y21, Y38
Embellishments: Paper Trey Ink rustic twine
And just a note, I did not mean for it to turn out to be a Fall card but that's what happens sometimes when I don't plan in advance and just play. LOL! I hope you enjoyed it. So, grab those Copics and your Memory Box tree stamps and have some coloring fun! Thanks for stopping by!
What a pretty card! I love the simplicity and yet it's still so pretty!! Your "simple" cards are so much prettier than my "simple" cards. LOL
