I sure am loving all of the new Memory Box dies. Dave has truly created some unique and great pieces. Well, one piece I have not played with yet is the Fancy Pocket die. I decided to have some fun with it today to show you yet another fun "must have" die.
To start, I cut out my Brioche French Toast paper using the Fancy Pocket die. Notice the tabs are there for you and ready for a dot of glue or adhesive to make your pocket. Before adding the adhesive, I put some antique linen distress stain on my paper to age it a bit. I am out to make this a bit messy on purpose. LOL!
The paper in the pocket is actually some old packaging I had on hand. I trimmed it to 2 1/2" x 2 1/4". Then I punched the edge, misted the paper, and crumpled it up. After letting it dry, I added some messy machine sewing to the top, stamped the Memory Box Thanks Script {A833} seniment and smeared it. Remember, I am out for messy. Sometimes messy can be fun! I also added some messy machine sewing to the bottom of the pocket. Look at the details here:
The circle on the outside of the pocket was done by cutting the Center of the Blooming Rosette die twice and trimming one down then stamping with the Gorgeous Mini Bloom {B1761} stamp. And here is the entire card:
Papers: Memory Box Brioche, Memory Box Holly Berry nc
Stamps: Memory Box Thanks Script A833, Memory Box Gorgeous Mini Bloom B1761
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Stain antique linen, Archival Ink jet black
Embellishments: Memory Box fancy pocket die and blooming rosette center, Memory Box berry pearl sticker, EK Success binding edge punch, Paper Trey Ink rustic twine, misc. lace, sewing machine
I hope you enjoy the look of the Fancy Pocket die. Remember there is also a Library Pocket die that is just as fun! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
