This is a card I created for two challenges today--one to do some quilting and one to add some embroidery stitching. So, I grabbed some Minuet scraps I had on my desk leftover from creating the printer's tray, and here is what I came up with:
Papers: Memory Box licorice gingham cs, Memory Box licorice cs, Memory Box Minuet
Stamps: Memory Box Wonderland Butterfly E1713
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink black soot
Embellishments: Stickles gunmetal, sewing machine, Jenni Bowlin chalkboard alpha stickers, Pop Dots, Derwent watercolor pencils
I "quilted" the Minuet pieces onto a piece of licorice cardstock. I then added the quilted piece to the new licorice gingham cardstock. This is the first time I have used the gingham papers as a card base. I will probably be doing that more often because I LOVE gingham! :) I then stamped the Wonderland Butterfly {E1713} stamp onto another scrap piece of paper and colored with my Derwent watercolor papers. Lastly, I added some letter stickers for my sentiment to finish!
So, if you haven't tried the new gingham papers, I encourage you to try them as a card base! It definitely makes a fun background! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the weekend!
