Today I wanted to show you how I used two of the new blackbird stamps. I stamped them on textured paper to give them a different look. Both of these stamps are solid images; however, when stamped on textured paper, you will not get a solid image thus giving you a different look each time you stamp them. How fun is that? Let's look at what I did.
Papers: Memory Box Sunset paper, Memory Box licorice notecard, Memory Box Blackbird 6x6 papers, Bazzill textured cardstock scrap
Stamps: Memory Box Halloween Collage G1395, Memory Box Bird in Flight D1393, Memory Box Crow B1389
Stamp Ink: SU basic black, Brilliance moonlight white, Ranger clear ep
Embellishments: Memory Box Halloween jewels, sewing machine, misc. ribbon
For the background, I used the wonderful Sunset 12x12 paper. Those branches just looked like they were waiting for a few blackbirds! I did add a Memory Box Halloween jewel to the larger bird but not to the tiny bird. I also added a jewel to the body of the spider on my sentiment. The sentiment I created by only using a portion of the Memory Box Halloween Collage stamp {G1395}. I stamped it in white and embossed with clear embossing powder. It actually seemed to lighten my ink but I liked the look even though it wasn't bright white.
Well, I hope you enjoy today's card. I will see you soon with more new releases! Have a great Monday!
This is a stunning piece....I love it!
