Smooch & More Fun!

So, did that title get ya?  I have been giving a lot of kisses to our new baby parrot but that's not what I meant by "smooch."  LOL!  Dave sent us all some ClearSnap goodies this past week.  Oh my, it was like Christmas.  Some of the goodies included the new Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink (paint).  Oooh, I want to play more with this stuff for sure.  I will show you a bit of it today on my card.  And a huge Thank You to ClearSnap for allowing us to play with inks, paints, glitter, and more fun!  Let's look at what I created today.

First, I wanted to start my card by piecing together the Memory Box Wintry Owls {E1275} stamp.  I stamped the image onto a scrap piece of Kraft cardstock and a few scrap pieces of Memory Box Spiceberry papers.  Now if you notice, my image did not stamp completely on the edges of the kraft paper.  I didn't restamp it to fix the problem because it is going to be covered up by my pieces anyway.
 

Next, I cut out all of the pieces I stamped and pieced the tree back together.  I also goofed here.  I dropped my large ink pad right on top of this piece after I had it all together!  Yes, I wanted to cry but then I thought I would just ink the edges and give it a rough look!  Why redo it?  Hmm, two errors now on this card!  Will it turn out?  Oh gracious!  :)


So, how do you like the rough look?  LOL!  Now after I layered my image and put my card together, I decided to add a little Smooch!  It is VERY hard to see in this picture but I dotted the center of the red circles on the background Spiceberry paper.  The right hand side of this card has been "dotted" in Smooch.  The left hand side has not.  Can you see it?  Hard, huh?
 

Maybe you can see it now in this picture here.  It is SO pretty in person.  And since I used just dots, it is harder to get the camera to pick it up but it really added a lot to the card!
 

Then here is my finished card, and I didn't have any more "goofs."  :)  The sentiment is the Memory Box Peace, Love, and Joy {B1114} stamp.  I used just a portion of the stamp for this card.

I love this owl/tree stamp. Great card; tfs.
